Brand New Eyes[Chase && Ryan] « Thread Started on Oct 20, 2009, 6:09pm »
Alexis sat in the passenger seat of the sleek Mustang next to Chase, her excitement amounting with each passing second as they quickly drove to where it was that he lived with the Cullens. She had been positively beaming from the very moment she first saw Chase pull up on the side of the road just outside of La Push. It seemed like it took no time at all before they were pulling up in front of the large house that she looked up at through the windshield with a bit of awe on her face.
This place is really nice. she commented softly smiling at Chase as she stepped out of the car and reaching for his hand. Dressed in just a black t-shirt, jeans and a pair of bright red Chuck Taylors. She let Chase lead her around to the door and inside the front foyer, forcing her gaze up and around at the high ceilings in the house.
"Where is everyone else?" Lex asked turning then to Chase again. "It seems kind of quiet here." she added.

Chase was late again. Granted it wasn't as late as he usually was though. He couldn't find his radio faceplate. When he got home from work the night before, he just threw it in his room so that he could get out and hunt since Alex was spending the day at the house. When Chase pulled up to the border of La Push and Forks, he saw Alex and immediately smiled. "I am so sorry that I'm late. If my head wasn't attached....well, I wouldn't be alive but I don't think that's the way that saying goes." he said laughing and then walking over to her and kissing her on the cheek. Little did she know that that would be the ONLY way that Chase could be killed. He grabbed her hand and then opened the passanger side door for her and then went back to his side and got in. "Well, here we go." he said taking off.
Every so often, Chase would look over at Alex to asses the look on her face. Especially when he began the drive down the long drive leading up to the house. The house was settled out in the middle of nowhere in the woods. So far, so good. "We're almost there. The house is a little......grand. That's the only word I can think of for it." Chase couldn't believe how nervous he was. He had never really been this nervous except on that first date with Alex. There was also the whole thing about her liking the place and Chase's family. Ryan was Chase's biggest concern. What he wanted the most was for Ryan to be ok with Alex because she was important to him. One of the most important things in his life as a matter of fact. Chase shouldn't have been worried though. After all, Ryan himself was seeing a human as well. The difference was that Ryan's human knew their secret so for Ryan to get angry at Chase would just be messed up. They finally pulled up to the house. Chase finally saw the look of awe on her face. He smiled. Chase exited the drivers side and walked over to the other side to open up the door for Alex. He opened her door and grabbed her hands to help her out of the car. "Here we are."
They walked hand in hand to the door. Chase scrambled for the house key and unlocked the door. When he opened the door, he pushed the door open so that Alex could enter first. The high ceilings always drew the eyes of people up. Chase chuckled softly and then began to lead her around the house. The first room they walked through was the living room. Everyone seemed to be out. They were either hunting, working, or at school. "I think some are at school and the rest are at work. My brother Ryan is here though." Chase could smell him. He must have just hunted because he could smell the bear that Ryan hunted. That was good. Maybe he would be in a good mood. Chase grabbed Alex's hand and began leading her toward the basement door. "Alright, we are now heading into the basement. This is where I live for the most part. I actually cleaned it...just for you." he said jokingly. Chase was actually a very tidy person. He opened the door and led her down the stairs. They entered a large living room. There were two bedrooms on either side of the living room and then a bathroom. It was more like a small apartment than a basement. Chase could hear Ryan's music playing from his room. "Ryan is one of my brothers. I'm probably the closest to him. He's like my best friend." he explained to Alex as they walked together toward Ryan's bedroom door. When they reached the bedroom door, Chase knocked loudly. "Hey Ryan, there is someone out here I would really like you to meet man." Chase half yelled over the loud music.
