{{lost in stereo}}CHASE « Thread Started on Jun 29, 2009, 2:38pm »
It had been about a week or so since the movie Alexis had seen with Chase, although the dinner part had confused her for a good part of that evening, why he would take her out and not even eat anything himself. It seemed like the time that had passed since their little date together Alex had spent a good portion of the time since with Chase. Honestly though, it was hard with where she happened to live. She actually had been hoping for once today when they got together she would end up going back to his place and was a little disappointed that it was only the park this time. It was always the park, or the library, or the cafe, or the pier, it just felt sometimes like where the both of them lived were these forbidden places and only the spaces between were safe.
Sitting on a bench waiting for Chase, Lex had her acoustic guitar next to here for a little jam session with her friend. She loved spending time with Chase, he could make her laugh and it was always just really carefree. He was entirely than so many guys she had been around, he was always just real caring of her in this gentleman sort of way.
Glancing around once more for Chase alex rested the guitar on her lap beginning to strum out a few chords. "Down to you. You're pushing and pulling me down to you. But I don't know what I. Now when I caught myself, I had to stop myself. I'm saying something that I should have never thought. Now when I caught myself, I had to stop myself. I'm saying something that I should have never thought of you, of you. You're pushing and pulling me down to you. But I don't know what I want. No I don't know what I want." she sang out a bit quietly mostly to herself.

Chase had been spending more time out of the house than he had in years since the date with Alex. Truth be told, he was having more fun than he had been in the the past few years. Most of it had to do with Alex. She was the best person Chase had met in a long time. They seemed to be getting along really great but Chase got the feeling that Alex was getting tired of meeting up with him at random places around town. With the whole Lily thing, the idea of bringing Alex back to his place was becoming more and more ideal. However, that meant that Alex might find out what he was. Chase trusted her enough with the secret but he didn't want to scare her away. He was amazed at how much he trusted her after only knowing her for a couple of weeks.
Chase was running a little late. He felt bad because he knew that Alex would be waiting there. He didn't feel much like driving so he ran, Guitar strapped to his back. He ran as fast as he could until he reached the edge of the park where he slowed to a walk. When he reached the area where Alex was sitting, he was coming up from behind her. He stopped to stare for a bit. No matter how many times he saw her, she was always so breathtaking. He began to walk towards her and could hear the song she was singing. It was amazing. He listened for a second to pick up the chords she was playing. That was one thing Chase was good at...picking up on chords. One he got it, he began playing sort of a lead part that might fit with it. After they were finished with their short jam, Chase looked at Alex and said, "Whoa, that was amazing. How long have you been working on that?" he said with his normal warm smile. "Oh yeah, hi" he said with a chuckle putting down his guitar to give her a hug.

A part of Alexis jumped a bit when she suddenly began to hear another guitar playing alongside with her, she hadn't even been expecting it. She had closed her eyes continuing on her song a few moments longer before she ended up immediately turn to look at Chase. "Hey, jeez where did you come from?" she quickly asked laughing just a little. "It's like you just came out of thin air, I'm pretty sure I never even heard your car pull up." she added. "Um, this, well I've just been putting this together a bit over the last few days." Lex replied in response to her song. "You're late." she mused with a soft grin. "What took you? she asked running a hand through her long scarlet hair.
Her gaze scanned over Chase, whenever she was around him she always seemed to feel so much better. Honestly she had no idea how he saw her but she really liked him a lot and sometimes wondered if their friendship may end up changing some in the future. Maybe she was blind, but had just seemed to see plain and simple that he was the perfect guy, good looking, evidently musical, funny, caring there just didn't seem to be any downside to things. She smiled leaning back on the bench resting her guitar from her lap against the edge of the bench. "So, anything new with you?" she asked. "Though I guess if you say 'no' i probably shouldn't be surprised this is Forks I guess." she added with a small laugh.

Chase just looked at Alex as she sang. He could just see the passion for music as she sat there and her small figure produced the biggest, most beautiful voice that he could have heard. How could someone so small produce something so big? After he hugged her hello, he answered, "Sorry, I know I kind of just snuck up on you there but the song was so amazing, I just had to play something to it." He smiled. "I didn't drive today. I walked. It's quite a walk but I thought the walk would be good for me." he said laughing. "I'm sorry about being late though. Could you ever forgive me?" he said making the best puppy dog face he could make.
As Alex put down her guitar, Chase crossed one leg over the other to lean back against the back of the bench and extended his arm across the top of the back of the bench. "Well you know, the same I guess. You're right there isn't a whole lot to do around Forks." he said with a light laugh."I've been working some, reading a little, and meeting up with you. There may not be a lot to do in Forks but I'm perfectly fine meeting up with you and hanging out. It's the most fun I've had in a long time." he said wrapping his arm around her and smiling at her. As he sat there looking into her green eyes, the urge to kiss her hit him but he pulled away with the fear that he would hurt her....and that it would scare her away. That was the last thing he wanted. Only with her did he feel like he could truely be himself and laugh and have fun. He didn't have to always be the big brother figure. With Alex, he could just be Chase. He broke his gaze into her eyes and asked, "How about you? What's up in the world of Alex?"

Alexis raised one eyebrow at Chase when he said he didn't drive and just shook her head a little. "God, I swear you must be crazy or something." she replied grinning a bit there. At the puppy dog face he gave her, Lex burst into laughter turning her face away "Ugh, don't do that!" she replied laughing. "Fine, I forgive you, I don't see really another choice." she added grinning turning back to Chase.
She smiled listening Chase list off what had been going on him, sliding just a bit closer when he wrapped an arm around her. Looking over him as she met his topaz stare, she realized again how much she wanted to kiss him a feeling she kept feeling and more recently. It seemed the only thing that kept holding her back continuously was fear of something changing for the worse if that happened. "I really like you, Chase." she murmured softly resting her arm on his shoulder. Frowning a little a pausing a moment as she bit the inside of her lip looking over Chase slowly when he pulled back a bit. "What's wrong?" she asked. "Um, I'm enrolled up at the college for next semester. Taking mostly some music studies really." she replied.

Chase couldn't help but laugh when she called him crazy. "Well, sometimes being crazy shakes things up. Plus, even if I didn't have a car, I would still walk in order to get here with you. So I guess maybe I'm preparing myself for the case that something happens to my car." he said jokingly. The puppy dog face NEVER worked for Chase. "Wow, that worked. That's the first time that's ever happened" he said with a large grin on his face. "Forgiveness from you is worth that weird, half-way, puppy dog face that I make. Most people are scared when I make it. Apparently I have a scary face." he said laughing.
When Alex said she liked Chase, his face lit up. He couldn't help it. It was the one thing that he had been hoping to hear. Now he didn't have to be so worried about scaring her away. It was the first time either one of them had admitted to liking the other. "You do? That's the best thing I've heard in a long time." he said grabbing her hand from his shoulder. His hands were cold and he knew it but it didn't matter at the moment. All he could think about was the kiss that he was too scared to give her. Now that he knew how she felt, it was time to let her know that he felt the same. He scooted closer to her, lifted her chin to look into her eyes and took the dive. "I really like you too, Alex." With that, he moved in and gave her a gentle kiss. It was surprisingly easier to kiss her than he though. He could smell her scent perfectly but he was able to hold on to his humanity and not go all psycho vampire on her. He pulled his head away from her and sat there staring into her eyes to see what her reaction would be.
Chase was getting more and more good news as they sat there together. Now that she was going to take classes at the college, he didn't have to dread going to class anymore. "Well I guess class won't be boring anymore. I get to look forward to seeing you everyday." he said, still smiling.

Alexis hadn't exactly then been paying full attention when Chase lit up with news that she liked him but smiled glancing at him at his response. Looking over him she suddenly thought she saw what was coming smiling a bit then when Chase softly kissed her. It was beautiful, just soft and gentle she hadn't felt this happy in quite a long time she was estatic, on top of cloud nine at the moment. She grinned a bit when he pulled back replying then when he found out that she coming out for college. "Does that mean I get to look forward to kissing more again?" she asked moving in to kiss once more a little deeper, moving one of her hands to gently run up through his hair. Kissing him was like that perfect kiss that felt like fireworks and made you dizzy because it was so good.
"I think I like being around you more now than before." she murmured softly with a bit of a grin when the kiss broke for a second time shifting to cuddle close into him.

Chase caught a glimpse of Alex's grin after he kissed her. That was a good sign. He smiled. Before he could answer her question, she moved in and kissed him back. A very good sign. This kiss however was a little more intense. It was the most perfect kiss Chase had ever had. It took a little more will power this time around not to give into his animalistic instincts...which would be bad for both sides. Still, he didn't hold back too much. As the kiss ended, he moved his hands to her face to hold their gaze. He smiled at her and then kissed her on the forehead as she moved in to cuddle. Chase turned slightly towards her so he could put his arms around her waist and rested his chin on her shoulder. "To answer your previous question..." His regular talking voice turning to a whisper right into her ear, "...I really hope so.
As they sat there together, Chase couldn't think of any bad reason to not bring her to the house to meet Ryan. Ryan was basically the only family he had for almost 7 decades. Ryan and Alex were the only two people that Chase really felt comfortable around. Chase was a little nervous to ask Alex to the house. He didn't know if she would think he was moving too fast. They were still sitting there holding each other, "Hey, I was wondering, maybe, tomorrow, instead of meeting up at the library or the park or somewhere random, if I could come and pick you up near La Push and you could come over and hang out at my place? Maybe you could meet my brother Ryan. If you don't want to, that's totally cool too. We can meet anywhere you want to."

She was really beginning to love kissing Chase, it really lifted her up to point where she had this grin plastered across her face she couldn’t really get rid of. She smiled blushing softly when Chase whispered in her ear. She loved the feel of his arms wrapped around her waist and cuddled so close to him, it just felt right.
Tilting her head to look at Chase when he talked about going over to his place. ”Chase I’d love to be able to go over to your place I think that would be great.” she replied kissing his cheek and settling down against him again as before. ”Do you ever feel like your family is just kinda messed compared to everyone else?” she sighed after a few moment’s silence. ”My family is definitely not your typical family…” she added quietly. ”Back in Italy, when I still lived with everyone things were complicated in a sense. Sometimes it just seemed like it was hard to tell the difference between right and wrong….My family looks after people, not in the traditional sense I guess. We kept everyone close and would look for them, we got a lot things in return money, power, anything really I suppose….Chase, this is going to sound really weird and I guess probably a bit surreal but I come from mafia family. Something happened just before I came here, an altercation broke out with my father and someone who’s a bit of a rival. My parents were assinated or murdered however you actually would put it. After the funeral my brother Dominic pretty much took over everything, he was the oldest, I have this distant aunt I guess she is who lives in La Push, there was just a lot going on and I just ended up coming to live her for the first time.” she finished softly. ”You always wanted to know where I got my car from, my father was in good business with this guy it was a gift he gave me one time.” she added with a bit of a smile.

Chase smiled when Alex kissed his cheek. It felt natural to sit there holding her. It was like he had been doing it for years. "Ok cool. I'll pick you up right on the outside of La Push." he replied resting his chin back on her shoulder.
Chase sat there and listened as she told him about her life in Italy. He was glad that she was able to open up to him. Her family being in the Mafia definitely was a surprise but he didn't care. It made her more interesting for sure. He grabbed her hand and kissed it gently. "I'm truly sorry about what happened to your parents. No one should ever have to see that happen.". He really meant it too. "I do know what you meant about families being kind of messed up. My family is definitely not....normal I guess you would call it. You're not really alone there. My parents died too but I didn't really see them a whole lot after college. Ryan is basically all the family I have. The rest of my family are...different." He didn't even know how to begin explaining his situation. He also wasn't sure if he should. He held back from telling her even though he wanted to tell her. How do you go about telling someone you've been a vampire for over 70 years? He would tell her one day. He just didn't know when. "That's a pretty nice gift though."
"So, what do you say about putting these guitars to work?" he said picking up his guitar. He began strumming a few chords smiling, at Alexis as he did.

Alexis smiled to herself leaning against Chase when he talked about picking her up from La Push to see his place. She was actually kind of excited for the next she had never seen his place and had always been extremely curious about it.
She was really glad to have finally told Chase everything, it felt really nice. She smiled tilting her head then a bit to look at Chase when he briefly mentioned about his family. ”Yeah, somehow I doubt they’re really all that messed up, you’re not all that bad and everyone says that about their family.” she replied grinning a little. Picking up her guitar again from where it was resting against the bench next to her she pulled it into her lap when Chase started to strum a few chords. Pausing just a few seconds before she herself started in on strumming a couple chords in tune with him. It took her couple minutes before she actually opened her mouth, having had something she had started very recently but still unfinished not to mention didn’t even have the guitar figured out.
”Tell me where our time went, and if it was time well spent. Just don't let me fall asleep, feeling empty again. ‘Cuz I fear I might brake, and I fear I can't take it. Tonight I'll lie awake, feeling empty. I can feel the pressure. It's getting closer now. We're better off without you. I can feel the pressure. It's getting closer now. We're better off without you…” Alex sang, occasionally a few breaks going longer than normal as more of the song was forming in her head as she played with Chase.

Chase sat there smiling at Alex as she sang. She had the most amazing voice he had ever heard in his life...and that was a long time. He continued to play along with her. When she got an idea of the chords that Chase was using, Chase let her take over the rhythm guitar part and he began playing some sort of a lead part to the song. It was a little rough but with some work, it would sound really good. They sat there playing the song for a few minutes. Alex's lyrics were amazing too. She had an amazing voice and amazing lyrics. This was the first time Chase had met anyone that he thought was worth playing music with. Everyone else that he had ever played music with wasn't any good or just wanted to play crappy music. As they sat there playing music together, Chase couldn't help but feel closer to Alex than before. They seemed to be right in sync with each other. The song was already turning out amazing.
When they finished playing, Chase just looked at Alex and said, "Did you come up with that? It was absolutely incredible." He couldn't stop thinking about what could come next in the song. The song had some real potential. "Why aren't you famous or something? You have real talent Alex. Just amazing." he said smiling at her. She never ceased to amaze him everytime they were together. He learned something new and exciting about her all of the time. He knew that she was a good musician but she was an AMAZING lyricist. "How do you come up lyrics like that?" he asked curiously.
They played the song a couple more times and Chase loved it more and more every time they played it. They sat there for what seemed like a few minutes but it had already been a couple of hours just working on that one song. When they finished playing the song, Chase couldn't do anything else but look at Alex in amazment. He smiled at her and then put down his guitar again. He was ready to cuddle with Alex again. That was fun. He scooted closer to her again and put his arms around her waist again. So, what's next on the agenda? I'm not ready to go home just yet." he said.

Alexis laughed a bit blushing a little when Chase spoke about being famous "Well, I guess I'm just waiting to get noticed and discovered." she replied grinning a bit. "I had just broken up with a boyfriend when I had started writing this and there was a lot going on with with him and it just essentially got to the point where the relationship I had with was a relationship with one person and it wasn't me, I stayed around with him longer than I should have because I didn't want to hurt him, and just everything I felt then for him and everything else in my life was just emptiness." Alexis replied talking about where she found some of her inspiration to the song she had started up with Chase.
Lex bit her lip self consciously as she set her guitar down upon noticing Chase staring at her after they had finished jamming. "What?" she asked softly cracking a bit of of smile that she found really hard to hold back when around him. She settled in close next to Chase when he wrapped his arms around her waist smiling as she tilted her head to actually look at him. "I don't know really, but I don't really wanna go home either." she replied in agreement. Staring at him for a few short moments Lex laid a soft and gentle kiss on Chase's lips. "You smell really good." she whispered softly resting her head against his shoulder. He was just amazing, every part of him she couldn't get over it she really couldn't help but get to thinking she was a bit plain in comparison to him.

Chase listened intently as Alex explained where all of her writing fuel came from. How could someone hurt such a beautiful person like her? It made Chase a little angry if he was being honest with himself. "Well, I guess if that never happened, you wouldn't have amazing music to write. 'What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.'" he said at the risk of being cliche. Chase held back anger pretty well usually. He was good at not showing anger. It was something he had learned to do over the years. "You'll get noticed with music like that one day...and I'll be here to cheer you on till then." he said with a smile.
"You're just amazing." That's all Chase could say when she asked her question and smiled. Her smile was one thing that Chase couldn't resist. As she nestled in close, he could smell the jasmine smell that he loved so much. He was learning to control his bloodlust better and better everytime he was with her. Now it was normal to smell the jasmine. It was his favorite smell. "Ok, so what we know so far is that neither of us want to go home...at least we're getting somewhere." he said jokingly. As he was contemplating what to do with her, he looked at Alex and she kissed him gently. He couldn't help but smile. His smile only widened when she said he smelled good. If only she knew how amazing she smelled to him. He couldn't even put it in words.
Time always seemed to go by so fast when he was with Alex. Even though he had all the time in the world to be with her, it never seemed like enough. Being with Alex a few hours a day always seemed like only minutes. He tried his hardest to think of something to do. He was drawing a blank. Chase looked around for something to do. All he could think of was to just take a walk. "Well, since there's not a whole lot to do around Forks and it is a decent day, would you like to accompany me on a walk around the park?" he asked her.
