The girl was never one to like solitude, she saw it as isolation or abandonment really. She was left in the lonely streets of Port Angeles, and there was the first time she truly felt lost. There was no one in the street, well no one who was visible to her. Being alone in a big, unfamiliar town was not something she enjoyed doing. She was a bit of a softy, weak, defenceless. Her phone beeped, it had done so for the last time because that high pitched sound from her phone was to tell her ‘loser, your phone has no battery!’
The street lamps failed her so her only indication of her whereabouts was what the moonlit sky decided to show her. A jolt of electricity shot down her spine, well it felt like electricity anyways. The emptiness of the street scared her though she persevered and kept walking. The only thing that could increase her fright would be if she was joined by a bunch, or a single, male. Of course, she wasn’t afraid of men though at this time of night in the streets of Port Angeles the company found in the street wasn’t usually that she wished for. The girl wished that some kind face would show up and keep her company. What a foolish thing to wish for, and unrealistic.
Carla was always one to have an overactive imagination. She quickly began to imagine shadows following her, or sounds of footsteps on the tarmac. She began to scare herself now, the slightest thing was going to bring her to tears. There was a strange sound of rubbish bins being ruffled through. Screaming, Carla ran, she lost her breath very quickly though then started being more realistic. She shot a glance towards the bins she ran away from; she supposed it would be an animal, though she guessed incorrectly. It was a homeless man with rotten teeth and clothing that to disgusting to describe. He grinned at her. Possibly, with that horrible smile of his, a small part of her soul died. She turned away and tears started rushing down her cheeks.
She was never one to make a scene and wouldn’t ever dream of crying in public, though really and truly, there was no public here to make a scene in front of. She wiped the tears with the hem of her sleeve then stopped walking. She took in a deep breath and swallowed awkwardly. ”Stop being a nutter..” She spoke to herself hoping to get some reassurance.
She heard foot steps behind her though they were very faint, she decided not to look back because she figured that it would only be a part of her imagination. She continued her walk, not knowing were she was going to walk to. She didn’t take her car to Port Angeles, but rather caught the bus. She supposed that she was walking to a bus stop though she wasn’t sure where it was. Carla just trusted her feet to lead her into safety though ignored her brain which screamed ’turn around’. little did she know that the footsteps were not a figment of her imagination, but real as anything.

Noah wasn't quite sure why he had decided to go to Port Angeles today. Maybe he had just needed to get off of the reservation for a while. Either way, he was actually enjoying himself when the sun had been out. Now that the day was ending, Noah figured it was time to head home. He was really grateful that he had been able to get a car finally. He had put all of his money into the touring VW bus with Braydin a few years ago that it took him a little while to save up more money to get his own car. He did want to stop in and get something to eat first before he left though.
Weaving through all of the drunk people at night was the hardest thing to do in Port Angeles. There were homeless drunk people, alcoholic drunk people, people getting drunk after work, and just really, really drunk people. It wasn't the greatest thing to see. He couldn't count how many times he and Braydin had to be held back by one another to try and stop from beating up a drunk person who was getting up in their faces. He also didn't know how many dirty bloodsuckers were in Port Angeles tonight either. Noah would rather fight 10 drunk people than have to smell one of them. Noah just kept looking straight though in order to avoid an altercation tonight. It wasn't how he would want to end the night.
Noah was almost to the nearest fast food place when he saw a girl who looked lost. That was a little out of place. He hoped that she was going to figure out where her car was cause this part of Port Angeles wasn't exactly the best part of town for her to be in by herself. It was dangerous. Noah had every intention to let her go on her way because he didn't want to get pepper-sprayed tonight. That hurts. As he walked, trying to get to his destination, he took what he thought was going to be one last look at her. She really did look scared. When he looked back, he noticed a random drunk college student turn and look at her too. Except this college student decided to turn around and follow this girl. That wasn't going to be a good thing. Noah knew that the college student didn't exactly have the right intentions for the girl. He didn't want to fight tonight but he also didn't want to see this girl end up on the front of every Washington news paper. He turned around followed the college student who was following the girl.
Noah was a little faster than most since he was a werewolf. He caught up to both of them pretty fast. He decided to stay in the wings just in case things got out of hand with the girl. He knew there had been a lot of bad things that had happened with college students late at night in Port Angeles. He wasn't about to just let another innocent girl get hurt or raped because he wanted to just let it go. Noah had the strength, speed, and agility to kill they guy but he would settle for scaring him away if he tryed anything. No sense in going to prison for the rest of his life if he could scare him away. Noah stood there on the corner, hiding a little, when he noticed the college student yelling for the girl. The girl seemed to be more scared of this guy than she should be. She probably wasn't here to meet up with him. When the college student tryed to get closer to her and touch her, Noah jumped up of the corner and ran up to stand in front of the girl and talked to the drunken college student. "Hey man, the bar is the other way. You might want to go over there instead. The girl is with me." Noah said with authority. Hopefully the guy would take that and leave. Luckily this time, it did. Noah was 6 feet tall and a little bigger than most too. That probably helped. Noah stood in front of the girl staring at the guy until he had rounded the corner and she was safe. When the college guy was out of sight, Noah turned to the girl and said, "You know, it's not safe for you to be walking around here by yourself at night. It can get pretty dangerous. Are you alright?"

Carla just kept walking though when she heard an unmistakable cough, at that very moment she knew that she wasn’t alone. He hollered at her the moment she turned round to check who her company might have been. Panicking, Lala just turned back and kept walking, hurrying her pace as if her life depended on it. Soon her brisk walk turned into a power walk. She found herself looking back at the drunkard. He still had a bottle of beer in his grasp. She vividly imagined him breaking the bottle on her face, or breaking in on a wall then cutting her with the serrated edges. Hot tears made their way down her cheek once more, this time she didn’t bother wiping them away.
She could hear the unwelcomed figure’s footsteps behind her, they increased in pace just as her own. He could out run her, no doubt about that. She started to plot how to escape from the pervert. Thinking about biting, scratching, maybe a kick in the groin could buy her some time. Foolishly, she started to blame herself. Calling herself an idiot for being in Port Angeles alone at such a wretched hour. Carla needed a miracle, though sadly miracles were rare.
Lala couldn’t ignore the breath of the stranger so close to her ear, moments later he touched her shoulder. His touch was rough and uncomfortable. She turned round saw the person’s face up close. He was completely out of it and it showed that the alcohol had really take its toll on him. His expression was sluggish though his grip on her wrist was strong. She held her breath. At that moment, her miracle arrived.
The person spoke with such authority. He almost barked at the drunkard to leave. He said that she was with him though she clearly had no idea who he was. She didn’t argue with his statement, she was after all with him from that point because although he looked like a giant he had a sort of kindness in his face and wasn’t ready to run off on her own just as yet. As the college student stumbled away, Carla choked on her tears, then buried her face in the strangers chest. He was warm, feverishly warm, though she found comfort in his warmth.
The girl stepped back; she wiped away the tears and starred at him after a few watery blinks. His tone changed drastically when he was addressing Carla rather than the attacker. It was softer but it was still booming and powerful. Suddenly her feeling of fright disappeared into comfort. How could she find comfort in someone she didn’t know? Clearly it was possible. She sniffed then answered him “Ye, I’m not going to be walking here alone again.” she thought for a moment. No, she wasn’t alright, far from it. Though she wasn’t about to pour her heart out at the stranger, however kind he may look. “I must admit, I’ve been better.” she smiled for the first time though she sensed that many more would follow. ”Thanks” she tried to show him how it meant a lot, what he did for her, though she wasn’t in a state to be so clear. Truth be told, she was also a little speechless, and with good reason.
Carla thought to herself for a moment. She didn’t have much dignity left so she decided to hug him again. Her arms wrapped around his waist and her face was buried, again, in his chest. She couldn’t help but think about the heat that radiated from his top. She was defiantly not going to complain about it because it was cold and he was serving as a heater. She spoke, though it was muffled because she was projecting her voice into his tee, “Don’t leave me” how pathetic she was sounding, though she would probably loose her mind if she was left alone once more. I’m Carla, she hoped that she wouldn’t frighten him off.
Usually Lala would be more carful on who she trusted but at that point he was the closest thing she had to protection, and she wasn’t going to let him get away. She squeezed him slightly and let out a sigh of relief.

Noah's face was still in it's angry mode when the girl hugged him. His adrenaline was still pumping but he still used a soft voice when he talked to her. His face was usually the last thing to soften up. When she looked up at him through tear filled eyes, his demeanor changed and he looked at her with a soft smile. "Hey, it's okay. There are a lot of drunk people around here. I saw him follow you and thought I would lend a hand. Don't cry. She seemed to be getting back to a normal comfort level. She didn't look scared anymore. She looked more happy that she didn't get hurt. "You don't have to thank me. It's the least I can do. I guess my size kind of freaks people out so it was a good thing he was kind of a short dude." Noah said a little jokingly with a smile trying to lighten up the situation now that she was safe. It was the one thing Noah could do well...joke. If he didn't have jokes, he probably would have began tripping over his own words. He never could talk to girls correctly.
As he stood there, the girl hugged him again and introduced herself as Carla. Her face was tightly buried in his chest and he put his arms around her in a hug too. She needed to be comforted. She was probably still shaken up by the entire situation. "I'm Noah but everyone just calls me Wilde." he said lightly. "I won't leave you here alone. It's not safe." Truth be told, Noah hadn't been hugged for real in a long time. It was kind of nice to be the one being hugged as it was usually Braydin who got the hugs. Noah was a little embarassed about the heat that was radiating from his body. It was one of the things about being a werewolf that he couldn't control and he was afraid it might scare her off and drive her into another dark corner with a new drunk guy. She didn't seem to mind though as they stood there in the embrace.
Noah could feel her sigh in relief and tighten her hold on him when he had put his arms around her. He didn't want to squeeze any tighter for the fear of breaking something on her fragile frame. He loosed the embrace and looked down at her. "Well, I was going to grab something to eat cause I'm always hungry. I'm not gonna leave you here so I guess you have to come eat with me." he said with the same humor from before, one arm still around her resting on her shoulder. "I mean, if you were hungry or something. I could just walk you to your car if that's where you were headed." he said.

After the last sigh she slowly loosened her grip, she was usually the strong one who was very together and sensible but today was just one of those days where she wasn’t being herself. She thought that Noah might find her needy or clingy when really and truly she wasn’t like that at all. It was weird how she had just had a traumatising experience, her shivering body was proof, yet all she could think about now was how she came across to the kind stranger. ”Alright Wilde, you can call me Lala” it was a slightly foolish nickname which stuck with her ever since she was a wee child.
Her body’s shaking had come to a halt and she seemed as though there was no need to continue hugging him. She put on a brave face and even giggled softly at his jokes. She unconsciously rubbed her wrist were the man had grabbed her. She once again felt gratitude to Wilde. She looked up at him and only then did she realise how tall he was. She felt silly standing next to him. She was so small whilst he was taller then most men. She suddenly saw how old he looked. He spoke as if he was only a few years older than herself though he looked to be 25 or 26. She couldn’t help but ask before accepting any dinner invitations, though, she couldn’t word it correctly. Regardless of his age, he helped her out and food sounded perfect to her.
Even though she had been crying, it seemed as though her eyes were as white as anything, Now they had opened up with the mention of food actually, “Well, I guess I haaaave to join you then” she smiled at him though out of shyness looked down before looking up at him again “Truth be told, I am a bit hungry. Then maybe afterwards you could walk me to the bus stop? I didn’t take my car out tonight” She really didn’t want to be going home funnily enough. She was considering calling a friend of hers and asking if she could sleep over. For some reason, home didn’t appeal to her.
She was delighted that he asked her to join him, she seemed to have worked up an appetite. Although Carla had just met Noah, she was sure that the conversation was going to be good. He seemed really interesting and she was dying to know what his secret was, how he grew so tall. She though to herself and a flashback of what her father used to tell her came back at her. She remembered him telling her that if she ate her spinach that she would grow tall and strong. What a lie, she had eaten a life time’s amount of spinach by the age of ten and she was still short and fragile.

Noah began walking toward the outlet of the dark corners where they were and got them both safely to where there were actually street lights. It was a good thing she was hungry. He wasn't comfortable leaving such a defensless person out there by themselves. "I'm 18. People think I'm way older than that but I swear I'm not. I'll be 19 in a few weeks if that makes any difference." he replied to her chuckling. Ever since he started growing at 16 from the werewolf thing, people mis-took him for being a lot older than he really was. He had just graduated high school but people could swear he was already done with college...that is, until he spoke. He talked just like every other 18 year old. He just happened to be taller than all of them.
He walked a little ahead of her in order to push all of the drunk people away still. The later into the night it got, the more drunk people wandering from bar to bar. He made sure to be by her side though so she didn't get swept away by someone else and then hurt. They finally made their way to a small restaurant far enough away from most of the bars in the area. Hopefully that would deter any drunks out and about. Noah pulled open the door and let La La in first and then entered. He had been here a few times before. It was quaint but small. They got a table and ordered their drinks. Noah was always more of a water man....when he wasn't drinking with the pack. "So La La. how is it that you ended up all the way out here by yourself without a car?" He was really curious. Why wasn't she with any friends?

He wasn’t much older then Carla, it was as if he had read her mind but her starring at his height was obious that she was curious to know his age. “What have you been eating? That thing that helps plants grow twice as fast or something?” she thought it would be a bit rude not to tell him her age after he had just said so himself, “I’m seventeen, eighteen soon though. Beginning of May actually.. our birthdays cant be to far apart then” she looked at him but quickly broke the glance and focused on the people that were beside them. She wasn’t ever this paranoid though the site of drunk, groapy men automatically made her grasp onto Wilde’s hand.
She now was able to see were she was walking though she didn’t notice a small step. Carla tripped though she didn’t fall, since her hand was laced into Noah’s it sort of supported the fall. She blushed immediately, blood pumping into her cheeks looked innocent on her. The pale skin with rosy cheeks, she thought she would be looking like a five year old.
They entered the little restaurant which she had never been to before ”Cool place..” Carla commented to herself. They sat down at a candle lit table. She couldn’t help but stare at the flame for just a few seconds. Then she was caught off guard which Wilde’s question. “Well..” she thought for a moment to word her sentence correctly. Looking up into his eyes she continued, ”I got into a fight with a friend of mine so I came down here to cool off. We had carpooled and went down to La Push’s first beach so I ended up bussing it here” she sighed thinking about how foolish it was of her to come alone to Port Angeles. ”What about you?”
The waitress came over to ask for their order, she was having water also. Not out of politeness but she was never one to have soft drinks really. The wildest she went with non-alcoholic drinks was juice or sparkling water really. Her reaction towards alcohol was not going to change after what happened. She enjoyed doing shots with her friends and having a good time.
She looked down at the menu and decided to go with a toastie. It was simple but she needed simplicity. Anyways, she was also looking forwards to the side salad which she could nibble on. Even though the person she sat with was a complete stranger, she couldn’t help but feel a little self conscious about eating in front of him. It was a strange thing, though Carla was a bit of a strange girl after all.

Noah laughed a little at the question La La asked him. "I eats me spinich everyday." he said laughing. "Actually, I just come from a really tall family." he said running his hand through his hair. He only ran his hand through his hair when he wasn't telling the whole truth. He wasn't exactly lying. His dad really was tall but only because he was a werewolf back in the day and now Noah was a werewolf. "I guess our birthdays would be pretty close together. Mines on May 13. Another year older. he said.
Noah could feel La La grab his hand. She was still shaken up about the drunk guy. She was probably afratid that another one was going to grab her. Noah turned his head toward her and leaned down to speak into her ear softly. "Hey, you don't have to worry. I'm not gonna let any one here hurt you." he said squeezing her hand a little tighter to make sure she knew he wasn't going to leave her there alone. When they reached the front of the restaurant, Noah felt a little tug on his hand. He looked over to see that La La had tripped over the step. He caught her but she still seemed to be embarassed. She was turing a little pink. "Hey, don't worry, I'm surprised I haven't fallen over yet." he said.
At the restaurant, Noah sat and listened as she talked about how she left from First Beach. "So you just left the beach? I live in La Push actually." he replied. "I come down to Port Angeles when I need to get away from the Res. It was just one of those days I guess. I needed to get away from the chaos over there." He knew that, to most people, La Push didn't seem like a place where there was a whole lot going on but in the pack, there was always stuff happening. He needed to get away from it every once in a while.
When it was time to order, Noah was never one to be shy about ordering. He was a big guy and needed to eat after all. When the waitress asked for his order, he ordered the biggest steak they had with a baked potato and vegetabeles plus a side order of fries. The salad that came before his meal was just the starter. He hoped it wouldn't freak her out but he needed to eat and he was sure that the pack had already eaten all of whatever they were supposed to eat for dinner back on the reservation. "So are you really going to ride the bus back home? There are some pretty scary characters on the bus at night too." he asked as they waited for their food.

She couldn’t help but giggle at his spinach joke. She frowned and said “I should’ve eaten more spinach, maybe that’s what I’ll order..” She noticed how he ran his hand through his hair but didn’t think much of it. She didn’t know him well so she couldn’t have known that it was the action he made when not telling the truth. She looked up at him and smiled. Now that they were walking side by side she had to strain her neck a little to look up at him and she probably looked quite insane doing so. She liked the small fun fact of their birthdays being so close together, after counting on her fingers she replied. “Mine’s just seven days before you” she stuck out her tongue at him playfully, “its on the sixth actually” She thought that it was silly of her to tell him the actual date, she was just he could do a simple maths equation and figure out her date of birth without her needing to tell him.
Lala felt reassured with his words. For some reason she knew that he wasn’t going to leave her. She thought to herself, how lucky to have someone you don’t know protect you. She felt his hot breath on her neck as he spoke into her ear. Then he gripped her hand a bit harder, she guessed it was to show her that he meant what he said, and with that simple action Carla truly believed him. When Carla tripped over the step he was there to catch her. She did turn a bit pink though when he noticed the colour change she couldn’t help but turn a little red too, Carla bowed her head down so he couldn’t see her blush. “I’m not usually this clumsy” She lied, she was used to falling down, since she wasn’t all that strong any force could knock her down, though that bit of information was extra.
He followed her story with a question which she answered, gaining her confidence “Yeah, I don’t see why I should have left though, since there was a group of my friends and I only fought with one.” Now she was glad that she did in fact leave La Push, if she didn’t she wouldn’t have met Wilde who seemed like such good company. She smiled when he had mentioned being from La Push himself, she lived in Forks, though all her friends would be sitting by a bomb fire singing stupid songs and enjoying herself. “I’m from Forks actually, very close. Though I’m probably going to be bussing it back to the beach, I haven’t yet decided” She thought for a moment and began to worry slightly. She wasn’t even sure if the busses were running this late. She took her phone out of her trouser pocket to check the time but when seeing her phone she remembered how the battery had failed her earlier.
Her eyes opened a little more when she heard what he was ordering, though she didn’t comment because after all, he was going to be eating it not her. She was sure he knew what he was ordering because his hunger would be much larger that her own. First of all there was an obvious difference in size, he was slim though his stomach would be much larger that her own. She then felt foolish ordering a measly toastie thought that was what her stomach craved and she wasn’t going to argue with her stomach, she didn’t want it to start growling at her. “A Ham and cheese toastie please” she said in a shy tone.
She started to worry about catching the bus when he mentioned that it wouldn’t be safe. She had no other option “Well, I’m not going to be walking all the way down to La Push now am I? I guess I’ll have to catch the bus. I’m sure I’ll be fine” The last part didn’t sound convincing though she put on a brave face and hoped that he wouldn’t catch her bluff.

Noah was surprised at himself. He was actually talking to a girl by himself without making a complete idiot of himself. It was nice to talk to someone outside of the pack. "It must have been some fight if you bussed it out here. Secretly, Noah was kind of glad that she bussed it out here. He wasn't glad about the events that took place for her to end up out here but he was happy that he met her. He was all alone in Port Angeles. It was just nice to actually have some good conversation with an awesome person. With her, he didn't have to be all vampire/werewolf business like it was a lot of the time when he was on the reservation. "Hey, you do live pretty close. Do you go to La Push very often? Cause I can't say I have ever seen you around. I know La Push like the back of my hand." he asked curiously. He was always around on in La Push and he had never seen her around before.
Noah felt self-conscious for the first time all night when LaLa's eyes opened wide when she heard what he had ordered. He usually wasn't but he did order a lot of food. He hadn't eaten all night and a growing werewolf needs his food. He blushed a bit. "Yeah, sorry for ordering so much food but I haven't eaten in a while." He picked up his fork and started fiddling with it. It was a nervous habit. He hoped he wasn't going to scare her away with his appetite especially since she had ordered so little. He was just used to ordering food to satisfy him and now that he was a werewolf, the more food the better. He decided to change the subject. "So, why don't you want to go back to Forks. I think it's a little nicer down there than in La Push but maybe that's because I've lived there all my life." he said with a shrug. He put down the fork and looked back a LaLa to listen to her.
Noah was her protector...at least for the night. He didn't know why but he felt like he needed to protect her. She was so small and fragile. He had to use his size for something. Why not for protecting her for a while. He definitely wasn't going to let her walk back to La Push. That would be the longest walk ever. "I would never let you walk anywhere around here by yourself at night." he said with a smile. If she was going back to La Push, there was no reason he couldn't give her a ride. Even if she was going back to Forks, it wasn't that much further. He had a car and she didn't. It was the least he could do. "Well, I have a car here. It's not glamorous or anything but it gets me from point a to point b. If you need a ride to La Push or even Forks, I would be more than happy to give you a ride there. Consider me your personal free taxi tonight. I wouldn't want you getting hurt." he said smiling at her.

Carla went a little quite when he mentioned the fight she had once more. She really just wanted to forget about it and the constant mention of it was making it difficult for his to do so. She still kept a smile on her face, however. How could she frown when her luck was so amazing that night? Oh sure, she did have a fight with a very good friend of hers over a delicate matter and she did also almost get assaulted but the key word being ‘almost’. She was lucky because someone was their to protect her, though she didn’t know what to do to repay him. She was defiantly grateful but didn’t want to mention how grateful she was every second, that might piss Wilde off. And with good reason. She wanted to give him no reason to regret saving her.
She had no idea that he lived in La Push though she could have guessed since many of the young men there were supernaturally tall. “I go when the weather is good or when my friends and I decide to go for a picnic. I think I can safely say that I’ve never seen you around either. I’m sure I would’ve remembered you if I did” She looked straight in his eyes, it was just something about Carla, she liked eye contact though didn’t like breaking it. She just continued to look into his eyes.
She then felt so stupid about her knee jerk reaction. She shouldn’t have been amazed with how much food that he ordered. She really did feel bad about giving a sense of awkwardness in the atmosphere. The moment he apologised for ordering a lot of food she replied, it was almost instantaneously. “Hey, don’t worry about it. A guy’s got to eat.” She flashed her best smile. Her eyes were partially closed since her cheeks obstructed her vision. Then her face went back to normal though there was still a whisper of smile left.
She thought about what he told her. Forks wasn’t really the nicest of places because there really was nothing to do. She hated the constant bad weather. Every time she went out of town there would always be some low life that would comment on her ghost white skin. It was very unnerving. Usually she would just pop them in the kisser though sometimes she felt too much estrogen to let her engage in physical contact. “Well Forks is dead boring, that’s why my friends and I go down to La Push. To get a little excitement back into our lives. Though I guess I don’t want to be going back there tonight because I know all my friends are still having a good time. I thought maybe I should just show up and show then that something small isn’t going to ruin my fun” Her smile seemed to have disappear and she, without wanting to, changed the complete mood into a serious one.
Thankfully Wile seemed to be really kind and knew how to turn a conversation back onto a lighter note. She was totally flattered that he offered her a ride, thinking about it there was nothing wrong with that idea. ”I mean, if you’re going to be going back to Forks that would be really nice of you dropping me off. Maybe you can stay at the bonfire a little. Call a few of your friends if you like so you’d be with people you know.” The moment she said the words she then regretted them. Somehow, joining her friends again didn’t seem all that interesting. “Actually, erm.. If you could drop me off some place near my house I’d really appreciate it. I don’t think I’m really up for celebrating. I guess I’m still a bit shaken up.” She frowned. She did want to invite him but she would only be a drag because after all, it was getting late and she was getting a bit tired.
By the time she had said this their food came. Her toastie was really crunchy but she tried to eat as quietly as possible. Then she tried not to be messy. She would rather kill herself then continue the conversation with some breadcrumbs of her face or something equally un-lady-like. She then remained quite. Waiting to hear his reply. Maybe he had some idea of what they could do. After all, she didn’t have to go home, though the idea of all her friends starring at her return would be just too much to bear.

So that was why Noah never saw her around. The weather was rarely nice in Washington so she was probably not on in La Push very often. "Well, if you only come when it's nice out, that might be why I've never seen you. It's never nice out." he said with a chuckle. "You didn't happen to be at the big Bon Fire Beach party the other day? My friend Braydin and I threw one of the biggest parties of the year. People we didn't even know were there. The beach was full...and then the ocean was full for a little while." he said laughing a bit to himself there. Then it hit him that he had hoped she wasn't there. He did after all run around the fire naked. That would have been embarrassing. He turned a bit red but he was pretty sure she wouldn't know why he was blushing...unless she had been there.
As soon as he apologized to her, she made him feel much better about ordering so much. She was different than most girls in that way. Most other girls would have said something about eating so much. They didn't know though. He was really glad that LaLa understood. "Thanks. You're right. A guy does need to eat." he said smiling back at her. She had a really pretty smile but again, Noah wasn't so good with sweet talking females so all he could do was smile back at her and look back at her making the same eye contact she was making with him.
Noah nodded when she mentioned Forks being pretty boring. At least he had the beach. There was absolutely nothing in Forks. "I guess I see what you're saying about excitement in La Push. There is definitely more going on there than there is in Forks." More than she knew actually but werewolf stuff really didn't count for her. She seemed to get serious when she mentioned going back to her friends. She must have had a really big fight. She didn't really seem to want to go back but she also seemed like the kind of girl that didn't take crap from anyone. She put up a strong front but she really needed to talk to someone about it. Since Noah had just met her, it really wasn't his place to barge in on her personal life. He thought it best to leave it as it is.
Noah didn't mind giving her a ride. She was going to basically the same place he was anyway. He had the odd feeling that even if she wasn't going the same way, he would have given her a ride anyway. "Yeah, I'll be heading back down that way anyway. You don't have to ride the bus. I know what riding the bus is like. I had to do it for so long and I know it sucks." He had to ride the bus for the longest time because the Hoopy Bus didn't run for the longest time and he didn't have the money for a car at the time. "Well, it's really up to you. If you want to go back to your friends, I can take you back there. I wouldn't mind hanging out there. I do all the time anyway. But if you really don't want to go back, I can take you wherever you want to go." Noah was planning on going up to the cliffs to look over the ocean. It was the one peaceful thing that he loved to do. He did it when he needed to think but he always wished there was someone there to talk to. He didn't know if he should ask her. He had just met her and didn't know if she would think he was a crazy creeper for asking her to go. Then he figured, she could either say yes or no. "I don't know what time you usually go home or whatever but if you weren't really in the mood for celebrating, I was thinking about going up to the Cliffs in La Push to look out over the ocean. It's really an amazing sight at night. The lighthouses are amazing. If you weren't looking to go back to the party or back home, maybe you could join me. It's really peaceful up there. But you really don't have to if you don't want to. I can take you wherever you want." It was a good thing he didn't have patrol tonight.

She was finding it so comfortable with this person. She wasn’t really the social type and usually needed to know a persons background before she really got to know them. She was taken aback by how outgoing she was being. Of course, some say that drastic experiences bring people closer together, never did anyone specify that the people who got closer actually knew each other at first.
She sipped her drink out of a little plastic bendy straw that was florescent in colour. It was a bad idea to give Carla anything florescent and plastic because it would always end up being chewed up. Carla yawned and out of habit, exclaimed “Yawwwn!” as she was doing so. After realising what she did she quicky explained herself “Sorry, I’m not bored or anything, I just saw that person behind you yawn and it was contagious. Oh and sorry for saying ‘yawn’, it’s a little thing that I do, I sort of narrate sometimes. Weird, I know” She smiled to herself as her thoughts then wandered. She was quite an out of the ordinary being thought it was nothing compared to Wilde, though she had no clue about his special gift.
She looked at him with delight. Really, Carla was so pleased that he asked her to go somewhere with him. Of course she didn’t know whether it was a good idea or not. She didn’t know him after all and being alone with him at night in a abandoned lighthouse was not the best ideas, although ignoring her brain, she went with her instinct. “That sounds marvellous! I’ve never been down to the lighthouse before.” She thought that it could truly be a magical place, “Oh, and, I don’t have a curfew or anything so don’t you worry about that.”
Carla just sat there and waited for some more conversation from his side or from him to finish the large amount of food he ordered, whichever came first. She couldn’t help, however, to notice the people around. Before, as they were conversing, she didn’t notice the people that surrounded her, now that her lips weren’t moving she could see how generic the crowd was. The most generic of all would be tied between the buff dark haired guy in a football jersey who had his hand on the ass of a blonde in a cheerleading uniform, or the paedophilic looking man starring at the cleavage of the largely chested woman opposite him.
Strangely enough she thought about what others might be thinking when they look at the table where Lala and Wilde were seated. Would they comment on the difference in highs? Probably that was the only thing out of the ordinary at their table. She could just imagine them saying ‘David and Goliath.’

For just a moment, Noah got a little scared that he was ruining the night for her. She yawned and he figured it was because of him. Maybe he wasn't making enough jokes. Then she explained that it wasn't him and he felt much better. "Oh ok. For a second there, I thought I was gonna have to jump up on the table and do a dance. I could still do it if you want." he said smiling at her hoping for a laugh...or at least a smile. He did think the whole vocalizing the yawn was kind of cool. He didn't know anyone who did that and it made her unique. He liked unique.
Noah couldn't believe that she actually said yes. He guessed there was a first time for everything. On a normal day, he would have asked her, she would have smiled at him, and then asked where Braydin was. She actually WANTED to hang out with him. He smiled at her. "Okay, well, since you've never been there, then it's my job to make sure you get the best of that experience. I don't usually go to the lighthouse unless I go there at night. I know the guy who runs it so he lets me go up there and sit to look out over the ocean." It was one of the best places to be in La Push but not too many people were allowed up there but Noah had been going up to the cliffs so often, the watchman at the lighthouse began to recognize him and let Noah up there anytime he wanted to. "No cerfew is always the best thing. I usually stay out late so just let me know when you want to go home and I'll take you."
Noah was trying to finish his food so that they could leave. Noah knew people were staring at them but he was used to it. He was oddly tall and people stared all the time. It didn't bother him anymore but Carla seemed to looking around at all the people. Noah wondered what she was thinking. It looked like she laughed a little to herself when she looked at the football player and the cheerleader. There were so many couples like that around here. Everyone seemed to want to live up to some sort of cliche. He was glad that Carla didn't fit into any of those dumb cliches. "It's kind of funny huh? How much more cliche could the football player and the cheerleader be. I thought that it was only in movies but I guess not." Noah said laughing. He knew that the people who were sitting around him had their opinions of him and Carla though. He didn't care much though. They could think whatever they wanted.
When Noah finished, it had looked like Carla had finished a little before he did. Noah motioned to the waitress to bring the check. While they waited for the waitress to bring the check, Noah came to the realization that he was going to be hanging out in one of his most private places with her. He had never actually taken anyone up there. Normally, he would be a little nervous about bringing someone up there but he was kind of excited to finally show someone where he went when he needed to think. He felt like he could trust her even though he had only known her for a matter of hours. The waitress brought the check. Noah layed down $40 for the $31 check. He was usually a good tipper. He knew what the waitstaff had to put up with on a daily basis and they deserved to be tipped well. He hoped that Carla didn't think he was showing off though. He really wasn't. "So, shall we go?"
