Nolan was in his house, getting out of the tub from a cold shower. Still drenched from the water, he grabbed the towel from the rack that held two customized towels, one in pink the other in burgundy with imprinted letters that spelled out “Nolan” and “Lacii”. After he dried out his body, and shook his head a few times to get in that messy look for the day, he walked into his room with the towel around his waist. He began to search for clothes for the day, he couldn’t decide what to wear, so instead he just wore a v-neck tee with a bands name and logo on it, he also wore a pair of gray skinny jeans and blue skateboarding chukkas. After Nolan was dressed, he walked into the kitchen and grabbed a couple of pastry snacks, orange juice, milk, a bowl, and cereal. He sat on the coach which was directed toward the TV, and noticed he forgot the spoon. When he went to go and get a spoon from the cabinet, he noticed his sister awaking from her bedroom, wearing nothing but a red baseball t-shirt that was Nolan’s, a pair of boxers and a bed head. She Yawned her way into the kitchen, to retrieve some breakfast, but too find that Nolan had already took all the cereal. She glared at Nolan over the kitchen counter, who was sitting down looking at her with a sorry expression and a mouth stuffed with cereal and pastry goods. She grabbed a piece of bread with a annoyed expression and put them to toast. Before she left too take a shower, she gave Nolan a look and rolled her eyes.

Nolan who ignored what had just happened, continued to eat his breakfast and watch music videos on the television. After he was done rocking his head back and forth gently, but not gently enough which gave him a cramp in his neck, grabbed all the left over cereal and pastries and boxed it back up and put it back on top of the shelf. He washed the dishes he had used and put them on top of the counter to dry. Nolan then walked back into his room passing a wet Lacii who had hit him with her wet hair as he walked by, she said sorry but Nolan knew that she meant too do it. He hopped on top of his bed grabbing his music player and a pair of headphones and started listening to music again. He rocked his head back and forth, acting as if he were a drummer banging on drums. He began to sing along to the song, and didn’t even notice when Lacii was opening the door too leave. When Nolan pretended to hit the symbol to end the song, Lacii slammed the front door, which was a way to let Nolan know she had left. He removed the headphones and looked up upon the front door. “Wonder where shes going”, he thought with a curious but then careless expression. He shrugged it off and sat up on his bed. He looked around his room, to see if there was something he could do instead of searching for something to do. Nothing. Nolan sighed and grabbed his phone that was on top of a cabinet near his bed. He opened it up too see if he had gotten any calls, or see if he could make any calls. Nothing. “God it sucks not being in touch with friends” he thought, he arose from where he sat, leaving a carving of his backside into his bed, which in a second turn back to its original form. He grabbed his car keys which we on the hook and walked out the door, closing the door gently, then locking it afterwards. He got into his car and drove up a street, looking around too see if anyone was there. Nothing. “There probably all at school” Nolan thought, “Sort of sucks now that I graduated”. He began to think sad thoughts now, he continued to drive up the street when he noticed a empty playground with swings, and colorful play houses.

He parked near it facing the way he came from the U turn he had just did, and got out. He walked toward the swings, which he noticed the ground was covered in sand. He sat down on one of the swings, and kicked off his sneakers and socks with his feet. He swung slow keeping a very close distance to the ground, not paying much attention to anything but the sand. He took out his music player again with a pair of skinny white headphones and listen to his music with his eyes closed and mind opened, ignoring anything he couldn’t see or hear.

Nolan continued to listen to his music, from various different genres. Nolan liked all kinds of music, there wasn’t one genre that didn’t have a song that Nolan liked. He had just finished listening a song from one of his favorite bands, when he heard scratching from the background. He ignored it, maybe it was a bad copy of the song. He did download the song from a friend, so maybe he downloaded it wrong or something. So he changed the song to another song, it had a softer melody, it was an acoustic song. It was not only catchy but the person who sang it had a great voice which tied up the song making it one Nolan’s favorite songs. Once the song finished, he heard the scratching again, “What the..”, he took off his headset and check if something was wrong with it, but he could hear the sound. He hit his head, checking if it was his ears. Nothing. He still heard the song, so he looked up to see if it was an animal, Nothing. That’s when he turned to see a girl sketching on a pad of something. “Whoa”, Nolan was so surprised to see the girl, that he jumped and fell backward onto the sand. “Great”. He blew the hair that was over his eyes with his mouth. And grabbed the swings chain to lift himself up.

After he was sitting back up on the swing, he dusted himself off, and grabbed his headset and music player, that feel out of his grasp when he fell. “Uhm, im sorry I thought I was the only one here.”, Nolan was sure he was the only one when he came, he didn’t see anyone. He looked, not looking in her eyes, to show his hot red face from embarrassment. He put the headset around his neck, and put the song he was listening too on pause. He started to play around with his music player, trying to make the awkward moment, un-awkward, but it seemed the that awkward boat wasn’t going to sail any time soon. He looked up from his music player, to see what she was doing. She was sketching a scenery, he looked around to see where she was getting the scenery from. It was cool, he never seen a vivid picture, or what ever she was making in his life, though Nolan never really was a fan of art, it was actually one of his least favorite subjects when he was in school.

“Um, nice drawing there”, Nolan said, trying to smile. It was weird for Nolan to not be so hyper. It made him uncomfortable, but it was also relaxing in a weird way.

As Nolan and Lily walked down the beach, Nolan stared on as Lily smiled and stared in the ocean’s shore. It was truly beautiful as the sun beamed down gently on the shore’s vivid blue waves, making it look as if the two colors, blue and orange, were connecting with each other, creating all different kinds of color from ever shade the wave could take, as the wave crashed into the shore, leaving a white bubbles to finish off it’s journey to the surface of the beach.

“For all my like actually”, Nolan said looking down at his feet as he walked on the sandy shores, the sand felt great on his feet, it was smooth not at all hard, and it wasn’t as easily sticky as regular sand, “La Push”, Nolan murmured under his breath. Nolan smoothed his hands into his pockets and relaxed his shoulders, he looked up and Lily who look marvelous in the sun’s reflection, “So, how long you’ve been coming to La Push”, Nolan smirked “Cause you couldn’t possibly live here”. He bounced on top a rock that came along their little walk, he tried to balance on top of it, and was successful until a pebble hit his shoulder. He slipped off the rock, but lucky landed on his feet, he stood there for a good minute and saw Lily holding another pebble in her hand, “What?”, he said smiling, “you know im right, your too pale, everyone in La Push has a tan”, Nolan thought for a second, “Well most people in La Push have a tan”.
